What is it?

• Technology is at the heart of the Transformational Government strategy.
• This conference will reinforce professionalism in the way government delivers IT-enabled change and modern services. It is also our opportunity to build community and set direction for the public-sector-wide IT profession. Please see the agenda [PDF, 491KB].

When and where?

• The event will start with registration at 10:00 on Thursday 30 October, and finish at 14:30 on Friday 31 October.
• The conference is being held in Leeds, West Yorkshire, at the Queens Hotel, which is next to Leeds railway station. The address is Queens Hotel, City Square, Leeds, LS1 1PJ. Map and local directions [External website].

What does it cost?

The conference package, including overnight accommodation, will cost £99 (inc VAT) per delegate.

What’s included?

• A programme tailored to the interests of those attending, with separate participative workshops aimed at different groups
• Opportunities to hear about the latest developments in IT Professionalism, to meet the leaders of the Profession, and to influence its future direction
• Opportunities to meet professional colleagues from organisations across the public sector and build the IT Profession community
• Overnight accommodation, including use of the hotel’s health and leisure facilities
• Lunch on both days, dinner on Thursday, breakfast on Friday and refreshments at each break.

Please note that travel to and from the conference, and car parking during the conference, is not included in the price.

If you would like to book additional nights’ accommodation you will need to arrange this yourself. A list of nearby hotel details is available on request from the IT Profession Team.

How do I book?

The conference is now fully booked. If you would like to be added to our reservations list, just in case a place becomes available, please complete the Booking Form and Workshop Preference Form below and return it to IT Profession Team immediately.

In order to accept your booking, we need you to provide a purchase order number in your booking form. This will be included in the invoice we send you after the conference. However we do understand that it is not possible for everyone to do this – for more details see the booking form.

Please be aware that if you cancel once your booking form has been accepted you will be liable for cancellation charges (for details see the Booking form [PDF Format] [PDF]). We are however happy to accept substitute delegates.

What happens next?

Being on the reservation list does not guarantee you a place at the conference. If a place becomes available we will contact you immediately to confirm your place.
